gps to dsc?

can some one confuse me a bit more? i got a new dsc radio and an old eagle gps do i connect them? can i connect them? the gps only has 1 wire which aparently sends nmea data (nmea0180 and nmea 0183) the radio needs an $gprmc nmea data sentance. what the hell are they talking about?

The rmc sentence is to do with the info it holds, most likely a lat and long for the DSC. Just connect the thing and see if it works. By the sounds of it, you shouldn't have a problem.

Be sure and connect your earth wire as well as the DSC won't receive a thing unless it has a nmea and earth cable.
