Garmin 12 hand held. Is there anything available at a reasonable price which might take the correct NMEA sentence and make it sound a buzzer at wpt approach etc.. 'cos the bliddy thing doesn't have an audible alarm.

Have a Garmin 90 which beeps, but it eats batteries.

You want the WPT99 kit. Beeps on departure, beeps on arrival which is why it eats batteries

There's a stealth version also, but it doesn't seem to do a lot

The only reason I bought the G12 was the stealth function, just not on silent ops anymore. I inherited the G90, but was not bequeated sufficient funds to keep it in batteries.

I'll take that as a no.

Just hoped you mite sa a Maplin xd168464 and a pp9 would do it.
