Can you recommend a combo unit for a 24feet boat to be mounted outside. I will like a colour one but with good viewing under direct sun.

It depends how deep your pocket is. I have just had the Simrad CA44 demonstrated with C-map NT+ and a multi width and frequencey echo sounder. Could easily pick out fish, large and small. Gave a good picture of a WW 2 submarine at 200m. I was impressed. Colour sunlight veiwable and has radar in built Uk price ca £3000. They also do the CA34 which has a smaller screen for about £2500.
