I have a raymarine C70 plotter which is connected with the ST60 tridata unit (and ST60 wind and autopilot) and therefore displays the miles logged according to what the tridata shows, meaning whatever the speed log paddle measures…when it works. Is there a way for the C70 plotter to measure miles from the gps instead?
Thanks

I'm surprised the C70 doesn't or can't log distance run TTW. My old Navcenter 600 logs position every 30 mins and distance and bearing between logged points. It doesn't capture every change of course and has to be manually totted up, but since getting Navionics on an iPad1 (where distance run is integrated where a track is shown) I estimate that the Navcenter under records by an average 10%.

Well, maybe it does but I don't know how!!

My C120 has several resettable logs which I have always assumed was taken from the GPS, if you go into menu and scroll down you will find the settings for the Log I am not at my boat just now but will look up the users manual and post again.

...as does my Lowrance.
Would the solution lie somewhere not unadjacent to RTFH?

:) well done you sensitive chap you :) I did laugh out load for some reason though.

I have take my impeller log out and put the cap over the hole. Just use SOG

I'm not only a luddite but find reading my Raymarine handbook/manuals a real chore.... not just laziness, but somehow they appear to be written for those who already know what to do. ?? Typical of many manuals I find.

I also have a Standard Horizon plotter and that handbook/manual seems more user friendly.
