Took the old girl home a few weeks ago. a long slow tow with my mates toyota big 4 by 4 thingy with spot lamps on. Reversed Obsession into her new winter home. While playing on board a few days later I was rather surprised to find the garmin gps had aquired 5 satellites and was giving me a good fix on its position. I didnt know satellite transmission could penetrate slates, insulation, plasterboard and the various layers of stuff that the plasterer applied, you learn something new every day. Now to start ripping out all the upholstry and get her ready for next year.
PS why would any boat builder line the wall behind the loo with a vinyl with a foam back. It was like rising damp in a house except it was Pee and was in my boat !!
I wonder what other nasty things await me.

I guess the vinyl faced polystyrene is because the w.c doubles as a shower. It is necessary to have a vapour barrier twix the source of the vapour and the impervious grp hull or the inside of the boat will run with water. Most modern craft may have a seperate moulding for the toilet /shower cubicle. Dave.
