GPS/chartplotter installation

Hi everyone
I am about to order a GPS chartplotter from the internet and i was wondering how is it that you load a map on the thing?

In particular im buying a simrad cp31 and i want british admiralty maps of greece on it. How do i do that?

Every maker of chartplotters has chosen one or the other of the standards chart formats available on the market: C-MAP, Navionics, etc..
So, if You want Greece, You have to buy the appropriate cartrige for that region and from the specific producer.
Some National Hydrografic authorities are in the proces to either produce their own "cartriges" or to oficially validate/endorse those produced by one of the commercial outfits. A sa general suggestion, I would buy a chatrplotter AFTER I've checked which chart cartridge producer has the product I like the best.

The Simrad CP31 uses CT Map electronic charts which you will have to buy. You can see the Med coverage of C Map charts here
