GPS accuracy

At 7.05pm this evening the "satellite" controlled clock in the kitchen advanced 4 hrs and has stayed there! Batteries are ok, hasn't done it before. Has anyone checked their GPS to find if the accuracy of GPS has deteriorated or been switched off?

I think you will find your clock is radio controlled not satellite. Clocks of that type recieve a radio signal transmitted from I think Rugby.
GPS systems recieve thier time from the satellites.
Sounds to me as though the wrong signal is/was being transmitted.
My GPS (Garmin Etrex is showing the correct time and it was at 6:40 (I used it to set a clock I had just put a new battery in).

Yup, domestic clocks of this type are radio controlled from a SW transmitter in Rugby. Not sure what might have happened though, mine has been O.K.
Try moving it to another room for a while, perhaps upstairs. Bear in mind that the analogue type only syncronise on the hour!
