Thanks for the recent recommendations for the resturant at the light ship which convinced us to try it last night. Excellent food and good value. About £60 for 2 of us. That included muscles, salmon for starters and fish and chips, steak and chips(ask for the sauce) and a desert to share + bottle of vino. Thouroughly recommend if you are in gosport or Gunwharf.

If you can put a review on Trip Advisor too - I am sure Maria and her staff would appreciate it. They are trying to get No 1 rating in Gosport and firmly put to bed the previous reputation of the Light Ship...

We were in there Saturday night, 19.00. We both had salmon starters and two steaks. Ours cost a bit more but we had more wine!!! Food was fantastic. Second time we have been since the new management. Very impressed. Service is great food very good. We sat in the stern where the tables are a bit low and floor on an angle but no problem with that.
