If you need some help repatriating your winnings, I have several contacts in Nigeria, related to deceased Government Ministers, who may be able to help. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I strung one of these along for a while, they will even send you a certificate if they think they've got you hooked:

(Nathaniel Drinkwater is a character in a series of historical novels by Richard Woodman, an 18th century naval captain, and the name I used in all my communications with them). After I had them visiting the local Western Union office trying to pick up non existent money that they thought I was sending them, they gave up.

I too can recommend stringing them along. I have had hours of harmless fun. Send them off to Western Union with a reference number, then send them back with 1 digit different, and again and again..., send them a scan of a blank piece of paper as a huge image and tell them its your passport. All the while aplologising for the inconvenience your stupidity is causing. I sprinkle more and more comments such as 'I do not hope this did not cause you extreme inconvenience' and 'assuring you of my sincerest gaffertape'. Well it amuses me.

If we all did this rather than follow the boring advice to delete such emails, maybe the whole scam would die.

Of course you must do this from an anonymous webmail account opened for the purpose and don't let the headers from their original email to your real address go back to them.

Best tip I ever had was to forward all these scam e-mails back to the embassy/consulate of the country of origin. They soon jump on them, especially Nigeria!!
