That wall outside the swan looks pretty thin , it's holding back a LOT of water !

I shouldn't say it (seeing that a lot of folks ar suffering with flooding) -
BUT the Self Service sign is a bt redundant! -

With that level who need a lock - just motor up the weir stream

Apologies.

Looking at those pictures and some downstream showing similar devastation, I (casually) wonder how the levels at Bray marina are "just over the lower layby" and at PH "just wetting the footpath".

I wonder how it is at points downstream (I know I could look at the levels site).

I suspect there's going to be a lot of damage to the River infrastructure as a result, not to mention folks who have been inundated.
It's a most unpleasant situation and I'm very sorry for all those people affected.

Having spoken to several Lockies in the past day(s), I'm learning a lot more about the River and the futire frightens me...

I'm speechless (makes a change).... Very scary photos.

Went down Bray the other day and it was romping through...and over the island opposite. Will try and upload the vid off my camera at some point if anyone is interested.

To just wet the footpath at Penton it's got to be a long way up on normal levels. It's the highest since the floods of 2003. Not nice.
