I picked up 4 x 2m. lengths of 100mm x 25mm planed 'clear and straight' Douglas Fir today, for less than the price of a pint. Receipt, too. Am I ever feeling smug...!

Now, what on earth am I going to do with it....?

Just finished a table for number 1 son from Douglas fir. Bit soft but lovely clear timber and should age nicely. Got the timber for nowt from the project I volunteer with but suppose my time has been worth quite a few pints.
