Boat fixed (still running a tiny bit hot but we motored for 2.5 hours and it never went into the red so probably as good as it was last season).

Now proud owners of Berth E15 in Burnham Yacht Harbour.

New liferaft purchased and fitted to pushpit.

Time to restart the sailing season!

(Just the new VHF aerial to connect up and we're ready for pirates!)

B - did you contact Dave re rigging? Perhaps will see you on Sunday afternoon.

Not as yet - trip to boat this coming weekend is 50/50 due to my long term dodgy knee having given out. Hopeing like hell it's only short term extra dodginess 'cos if it's finally worn out (which is going to happen sooner or later) it's a major operation and 6 month recovery

However, things are looking up as it has finally shown signs of improvement today (the acid test will be how is stands up to a night at the coal face though) plus Jane has decided that provided we're back home by 4-ish on Sunday afternoon she's up for a short break on the boat this weekend (which avoids my being on my own). However, being back home for 4-ish means leaving before 2 which is some hours earlier than you suggested Dave would be about

So kinda looks as though either I won't be down at all this weekend or (more likely) that I'll be down but will have to leave too early on Sunday

Forecast looks reasonably promising for once though!

dave may be around earlier - I just arrange to meet him at 3pm because of my HW requirements now that I am at brandy Hole.

That's what you get for moving SO far upriver :D

I'll have to give the piggy bank a shake and see what falls out, if there's enough pennies I'll give him a shout and see when he might be around
