Good value moorings near Portsmouth

Need to keep my boat near Pompey for a few weeks.

Can anyone suggest anywhere where I won't be completely stung?

Needs to be connected to land, but a bit of soft mud should be alright.

Depends how near is "near". Hayling Yacht Co., Chichester harbour (tel. 02392 463592) might be worth a try.
