Hi...there's no way I can afford/justify buying a forward scanning sonar this year, if ever. Which is the most effective inexpensive fish-finder (plotting echo-sounder) I can get, with min. depth alarm, and fast response ?
Is there a magic way of using my existing Autohelm st 50 transducer so I don't even need to change the through-hull unit?
Your help appreciated.....Cheers....R

have a look at www.redcar-fish.co.uk we got 2 lowrance X25 units of them, they where very much a buget unit and they are brill, we use them on our dive boats for wreck location, dont think they do the X25 now, but would think you can get a more up to date version for about £100.

Nick.
