Remiss of me not to mention this earlier...

About 3 weeks ago, I posted about whether anyone had a manual for an Navico RT6500S...

Peter at Simrad saw the post, contacted me for my e-mail address, dug out a .pdf on their computer system, and e-mailed it to me.....

Thank you Peter. I shall certainly be looking at Simrad equipment as and when I look to upgrade my electronics.
 
I'll 2nd that motion for Simrad's quality of service....

Reset my MMSI number on my DSC radio - no charge,
Upgraded the software on my GPS/plotter - no charge.
Exchanged the faulty wind thingie free of charge despite in being 4 months out of guarentee.

Choice of kit on my next boat? Simrad of course. Especially after three visits to RayMarine about an autopilot that they fixed and fixed and fixed again, each time making my wallet many pounds lighter.
