Who gives a fek.. lol... they is all distorted.. shore based crew to tell ellen WHEN to have her period etc.... I prefered the french n sauders view.. much more realistic..

well Chichester went round in a purpose built boat
Albeit it was not what he had set out to have built
he had sponsorship and backers he was exactly the same as today's breed
i think to belittle the acheivement and hark back is wrong
joyon macartheur all the rhoute du rhum mini ransat etc RACE 24 hours
Chichester was keen on racing but at that time even racers turned in at night lit the red lamps and bunked down
Such are the margins that today every minute counts
i think it is testimony that joyon did not try and break ellen's record in the same size boat. he clearly thought it important enough the 22feet.
these people are supported by shore yes fine
how much do you feel that support up a mast in the ocean in 30 knots of wind with a boat doing double figures on authelm???
i will be the first to take the piss out of these peopple but i could not do what they do and i sure as hell respect them
i will shed a silent tear as ellen's record falls
