Poor sods - even by choice they are out there, probably wishing they were on dry land, at this time they haven't setled into the rythym of the boat or being at sea and they are about to get an enormous kicking from neptune..wet cold probably 50% of them sick scared etc... with a worse time to come... Very tricky time for the skippers.
One regular forumeer, named 'Talulah' after his boat, is out there somewhere with a crew of paying guests. I'll be looking to see where they get to, and hoping it's not into difficulties.....

Er, at 2130GMT ( sic ), 'Talulah' seems to be heading into Portland/Weymouth for the night..... I hope they're in time for the famous fish 'n chips!
Saw them this afternoon as I came into Poole Bay on a FastCat - most carrying full mains, although one or two reefed down. Crews stacked on rails, going like trains.
I remember when I got back from my first windy Fastnet (although not as nasty as this one looks), I was greeted in the office with 'so did you have a nice sailing holiday then?'. I felt like throttling them.
Good luck to the poor sods out there - they'll deserve their t-shirts when they get to the end... I've a friend who is doing it as his last offshore, said he was getting a bit old at 70 to do any more! Hope he's okay: his boat still going strong last I looked.

There's a bit of an echo on this forum tonight! Feedback loop?

Oh, and there's something odd about 'Team Eberspacher' - they seem to have put most of the 'whitebait' behind them. However, tomorrow's another day.....
Talulah has put into port for the night, suffering from foul tide, just arived and about to eat and get a good nights sleep, ready to set off on a better tide tomorrow.
They were pleased to hear you guys are rooting for them, and they are not retiring just being cautious.
The weather promised is not materialising as bad as forecast, and now it seems to be Wednesday for the bad weather.
The Rorc site is brilliant, Endeavour Quay is tuned in all day!
The unsponsored IMOCA 60 'Spirit of Weymouth' is now making up ground, having passed Lanzen and is starting the drag race across the Celtic Sea in about No 17 position, at present.
I think thats V Project, I am guessing there was some problem with the telemetry/positional information being sent back, they probably have missed all the 30 min updates do have plotted a straight line to the first reported postion.
