Having just returned from a four month 1500nm cruise I must let the forum know that, after reading about them on here we blued the dosh on a 2.5 kilo load twin tub washing machine for our boat. It requires shorepower.

It worked perfectly, the washed clothes were very clean-remarked on by a berth neighbour at Falmouth-and has paid for itself already.

It is a One Concept, purchased from Amazon for £90.00.

First mate fills it with hot water from the shower pipe, it drains and spins out into the shower tray which is then pumped out as the shower would be.

I service the shower pump filter a little more frequently.

All in all, a real benifit to our cruising.

Thank you for the advice-factual and effective.

We stand ours on the galley worktop (counter) which allows it to drain directly into one of the sinks. I have swapped the galley tap (forcet) for a shower handset on a hose so that this can fill the machine easily. Best bit of kit we ever bought. Since it only uses 140watts it works fine off the inverter too.
