Good Boatyards in Gosport!

Hi,

I've just bought (2 weeks ago) a secondhand Etap 26 which is now moored in Portsmouth Harbour. As the season is drawing to a close I'm thinking about where I should store her for the winter. Somewhere in Gosport would be most convienient for me and therefore I would appreciate people's opinions on the boatyards that are located there. I want to have some fibreglass work done, so it is not just storage facilities but also the quality of the yards work I'm interested in.

Many thanks in advance,

David

David,
You could do worse than look in at the Quay lane Boatyard at Gosport. It is small and friendly and the adjacent local lads do good work.I do not know how their lay up bookings are going so you may need to hurry!
All the best. Anew boat is always exciting!

We did not have a good time at Wicor where I took my boat some years ago. Minor vandalism to which the yard seemed unsympathetic.

Good luck with your new boat. It really helps to establish a good relationship with a yard, but you have to keep shopping around to get the best prices.
