Good boat valet in the Southampton area?

Hi there,

My Fletcher 19gts needs a really good clean, particularly the interior. I've tried to do bits and pieces myself but I need to get the professionals in or I'll forever be cleaning.

The blue stripe on the hull is moderately oxidised, but I'm not concerned about that. I'd really like the interior deep cleaned and a good exterior wash and polish.

Does anyone know of any good boat valet companies/individuals in the Southampton area?

Cheers

Hi,

+1 for southcoastshine their photos look great. Can you post some photos because in my experience there is clean and then there is restoration like new clean.

I cleaned a boat recently of salt and as it was a Naiad it had one of those lovely red lines with heavy oxidation. If only the red strip was compounded it would make a huge difference and that boat was 4o foot or so.

I know you want a deep interior clean but honestly get the outside coachroof looked at first then interior a close second. Routinely get a company to clean the interior..... ahhh ive just seen a picture of one. Ok the interior is perhaps beyond a clean. The leather is buggered, torn in places and has horid marks all over the place from too many land lovers coming on board and birds leaving poop around. As a motorboater (sailors skimp) i would suggest the teak decking needs a 2 part clean and if the blue line on the outside looks oxidised the rest of the boat probably is.

I would if possibly remove the leather seat fabric and send them Away to be done something a pro cleaning company cannot do well, and then blitz the interior/hull with compound, fine compound then wax.

Hi there. Thanks for the suggestions. Really like the sound of http://www.southcoastshine.com/

Do you know if he does antifoul removal too? If not can anyone recommend someone who does antifoul removal? Ideally I'd like to get someone who can removal the antifouling then give her a good clean inside and outside.

I'd used all sorts on the blue stripe, got alot of the oxidisation off but really need someone with an electric polisher to buff her up. Few scrapes here and there on the blue stripe. Really want the anti fouling removed, looks a mess with it on and we dont need it anymore. Might need a touch of paint on the blue stripe too. Is that something I could do?
