Hoping to meet up with long time yachtie friends when I take our family to Cephalonia in September. We are renting a villa in the very south of the island at Lourdata. Can anyone advise on suitable a anchorages that are close by and safe for overnighting? Fiskardo is a long drive.

There's not much between Poros and Argostoli. Might look at Katelios, not far from Lourdata. There's a small but shallow harbour there and an anchorage off the village. OK is settled weather but not much shelter except from west through to North.
Argostoli itself is OK but a dead end, about a days sail from anywhere. Meant coast is the best area, with a few town quays and anchorages.
Surprised you've had no other response yet!
Enjoy your holiday.

Hi I was on Kefalonia earlier this summer and in addition to Fiskardo we visited Ag Euphimia and Sami. Both places have
sheltered harbours with the usual stern-to mooring on the anchor. Both places quite pretty and not busy when we visited.
