The recent storm blew off the companionway hatch from my Mirror Offshore on its winter mooring
It is roughly 60cm square made of grp. It was secured by shock cord and a hasp.
It also had a long piece of shock cord attaching it to the boat ( in case it went overboard ha ha)and this piece remains with frayed end.Iassume it was blown off, hung by this for a while until shock cord chaffed and parted.
I assume the wind as culprit as nothing taken.
The mooring is in a sheltered estuary about 200m wide and tideflow can be quite considerable, bottom is mud, depth 3m
Any suggestions on how to recover it, how far from boat is it likely to be or would trying be a waste of time?
