Off to Plymouth in the rain and gales. 300 miles of hell.
And all to sit on a boat half a mile along the pontoon, with the only entertainment being mending it or waching the telly.
Have we gone completly off our trollies!!
The chances of going out to sea seem slim.
Or going up the river in the wind and rain.
Then the defence police will be going baserk if I go anywhere near a battle ship.
We must be mad.

I bet it was all worth it, weather forecast wrong again. It's again been one of those rare almost summer like days with just about no wind and blue skies and same forecast for tomorrow, although I expect they'll have got that wrong as we are going out then!

NO WAY should you sit in a marina tied to a pontoon !!!
get out there and do something interesting ,man over board is always good for a couple of hours rowing about who did it right and who was wrong ,it's even better when you lose the fender ha ha .

It was somewhat breezy and horizontal rain up here at the weekend but, being between boats, I would like to have had the option of going out. So just get on with it man and stop complaining!.

Obviously you're living in the wrong place - down south west was one of the best weekends of the year, sunny, hot and calm. As I write this it's now starting to rain, but then it's a Monday so who cares.
Nick, interested in your views on Matts idea of art competition in thread on using boat for tax deduction.
Thanks LJS

I know how you feel, last Friday I decided not to go down to the boat due to weather forecast and get some shopping done (for the boat of course). I wished I had gone down as you say no wind and summer like days. Determined to ignore Sunday's forecast of F4 - rain, decided to go down and you guessed it pretty good day out with little wind and sun - however back home was raining all day.

PS. I find the boatastic.com web site useful to view actual conditions using web cam.

No I just took the boat out for it's first run in 3months (been away alot) so just getting back into things. I think our diving won't really start until march next year now - may do a Stoney cove visit. But today discussing chartering a Rib (7.8m) to trailer up to Oban Scotland in April next year.

The weather seems to be looking good this weekend (Sunday), so may do a trip over to the Needles, but no diving (that may change).
