I used the above when renewing my engine anode on the plug threads as it is supposed to be non-setting.
It appears to have set! Despite applying considerable torque........ socket extension onto the head of the plug and 18" spanner it won't budge.
Gentle option seems to be to apply a solvent into the threads to try and break it's grip............ any suggestions?

Sounds like the ideal stuff. ~~ "Easy dismantling"

The main solvent seems to be methylene chloride (methylene dichloride, or dichloromethane)

A paint stripper based on that perhaps eg Nitromors All Purpose Paint & Varnish Remover but i would not hold out much hope.

Tried it while hot? How about a freezing spray directed at the anode? (The stuff plumbers use for freezing pipes)

Thanks for the info.

Think I may try a combination of the two........... try the paint stripper to remove as much as possible then give it the ice treatment when I try to move it.
