I did send a sicknote to Cutter in advance of my absence, honest!
I was a 10 hour drive away on hols/clearing up empty beer bottles and had intended to make just the evening, but not the sail across. But the more I though about the additional 4 hour diversion and early start the next morning back to Calais (having doubtless had a ticture of two), I 'bottled' out. As I'm now officially 'very old indeed', I hope you will be understanding.
