going to the med via mainland france on a fairline targa 43

anyone taken a targa 43 through the rivers and canals?
it seems from my superficial research so far that max air clearance is 3.5m. targa 43 needs 4.04m - is it possible some way ?

get the radar arch modified so it hinges, it's common to do this for the rivers and canals, or if you have a low bridge to get to a mooring.

It might be easier to have the arch removed and store it somewhere aboard for the passage.

What is your air draft with it removed ?

Last summer we saw many boats en route to/from the Med with this arrangement. Yes, some did hinge but many had the arch removed completely for the trip.

Problem is that hood attaches to arch but then its France so will not rain!

Do you need to mod the whole arch, or would a cheaper and easier mod to the light mast alone give you enough clearance (and allow you to keep using your covers)?
