Weather looks pretty good for end of Feb.

I haven't lifted the boat out yet, so planning to go out onto the Blackwater tomorrow.

Anybody else planning to do something similar?

Gitane?

I slept on board last night, but didn't get out. However, I did go to the boat jumble in Colchester and then spent the afternoon at Walton on the Naze walking with my aunt and the dogs. It was a lovely afternoon and so nice to see the boats going by - wished I was out there, it looked perfick.

Went out on Sunday.

Brilliant weather, seeing that it was only Feb.

Little wind, but an empty river and nice sunshine.

Sailed (well drifted mostly) from Bradwell to Thirslet buoy and back. I don't think I went above 2 knots all day. A good opportunity to put the kettle on and enjoy the day.

I was the only boat underway on the river!

I was off of Shotley around 12.30z today

Must have just missed you, then. (Or did you see me nodding off in the cockpit, or perhaps failing to keep a look out while I wrestled the sails up? :o)

Did you have your eyes closed?:p

Quite possibly!:) Otherwise, I'd like to put it down to the salt and spray on my glasses from the wind over tide chop, or early onset Alzheimers.

I did see a couple of boats around the confluence of the Stour and Orwell as I left. Upstream of Shotley Pier the only people I remember seeing were on a couple of boats on their moorings at Wrabness, a boat with a couple of anglers aboard anchored just upstream of there, and (I forgot originally) an orange RIB came down river and messed about close to the northern shore.
