Ive seen a Moody 45 motor-sailer which looks interesting, perhaps something as you have described.
I thought as folks got older, dealing with sails became an issue, so they buy a motorboat
I'm sure plenty of boaters would think your current boat is a great compromise.
Besides you currently don't have to deal with noisey, slapping halyards against the mast on windy nights and cluttered side decks with obtrusive mast stays, while berthing etc.
