Well, I made the effort and me and the Bosun went to the boat yesterday intent on doing something to start getting into the spirit for the season ahead.

End result after 1 Ginsters Cornish Pasty ( BOGOF at Sainsburys). a mug of Chicken Bovril and about 4 hours solid graft with a pressure washer was a much cleaner looking boat and a very wet dog and skipper - but I did feel mildly self righteous as I paid my few quid for occasional leccy and though of the mass of dosh that N_R had handed over to someone else instead of doing it himself ! :D

Thank God for pressure washers - whatever did we do without them? In particular, the way the teak deckrails have cleaned up is quite remarkable.

Had a brief word with Dogsbody and the Silver Dragon crew as I was leaving - Ramage and co. even went out for a brief trip during the afternoon The river was in pretty good flow- 3-4 knots I reckon - but with Rebellion on the helm did a prety good job coming back into the marina.

Don't worry Tony, Debs and I both ache this morning and we're half your age!

Then I hear the river is up and the forecast for the week is rain, so might not be going anywhere next weekend after all...

Hmmmmm , Jet wash finger can be a real bugger :D I opted for the clean every inch with a small scouring pad approach ( the one good thing about having a small boat ) And then spent the rest of the day digging over a field by hand . Anyway gotta dash i'm late for my mid morning 10 mile run before the gym :D
