Gobbi power sockets

Afternoon all.

We have the sockets that match these plugs in all of our room (Including bathrooms).

Does anyone know what we should be using them for?

We also have UK 240v sockets and 12v, but guessing these were the original build as they are on the same unit as the light switches.

I don't know. What voltage is available at these sockets where they are fitted in your boat, and AC or DC? If they are dead what type/gauge of wire are they connected to?

As a very wild guess I'm wondering if they relate to an intercom system, which was all the rage as a high end option on boats a few years ago - but that is a very wild guess

I have had 2 gobbis and I've not seen anything like that fitting before mine have both had standard 2pin euro fittings.
Sorry can't help.you could e mail azimut customer services.

I'm sure I've seen a phone socket that looked like that, although the fact that your Amazon link includes a power rating suggests that they might be power sockets as well / instead. Can you not just have a look at the back and see what they're connected to? If they're all over the place then at least one ought to be accessible without too much dismantling.

It look a little like and anderson DC power plug/socket generally used to the connection of high current DC power circuits.

The Gobbi is a 2004.

We have worked out that they are power, I'm guessing looking at the amperage they could be for lamps etc.. but at 10 amp no good for kettles, toaster , vacuum cleaner etc...

All connected into the same wiring as the UK 3 pin 240v sockets so it just seems to give us more options in more rooms (and 240v in the bathrooms which is slightly unusual)
