Glue for prop nut screw

I have an Autoprop but can't find the glue they sent me for securing the prop nut screw. Can anyone recommend a suitable glue for use on the holding screw and the anode screws, please?

Everyone here will tell you use Loctite.... but there are MANY different types so make sure you select the right one.

Doesn't your prop nut screw have a washer with tabs that you bend over to retain it?

We advise using Araldite 2011/precision for installation of cutters, bearings, bolts, threads and mating surfaces to prevent any movement. It softens with heat for easy removal.

No. The Autoprop has a screw that tightens onto the face of the prop nut.

I use Loctite 243. No problems so far, but only owned my Autoprop for 12 years. I have also tested it on anchor shackles and connectors, where it did not soften or lose strength over long periods of immersion.

Only problem is on the back of the 243 pck it says harmfull to aquatic organisms, avoid release to the environment?

Negligible harm with a little bit on a thread

Noticed that the blurb for the 243 says that it is not suitable for plastic so have not used it on the Autoprop anode screws.
