Hi Folks
I need to glue a water supply pipe onto the tap spigot as I can't get near to it to fit a Jubilee clip. The fitting is in between the sink and the unit side, I can just wiggle the pipe on after doing up the fitting nut with my fingertips. I can't put the pipe on the tap first as the nut won't go over it. I'm getting fed up of the pipe popping off under pressure!

The success of gluing or solvent welding will depend on the types of plastic involved. Polythene is very difficult to glue.

Any chance that you could make use of any pushfit plumbing fittings?

without knowing how much room you or type of tap
if it is type with a half inch thread why don't you use a tap connector and get copper pipe it into area where you can get your flexi hose onto it
if you are in Ipswich I can give you tap conn or bend pipe for you if it help`s iv got load`s of tap conns and bits in me van if it help`s
if any good to ya pm me and ill sort no prob

Hi Nick
It's not a real tap it's one of those caravan types with the contacts to turn on the pump. It only has a barbed connector to push the hose over. Thanks anyway. I went down today and had another go, with the locker door taken off I could just get a 7mm open ended spanner on to a clip, but didn't have the correct size. Have now so may try again tomorrow.

ok no problem just a thought as ive had this problem before on a customers boat and got over it that way but glad you found a way over it if not succesfull with spanner you could try a quarter socket drive with a 7mm /6mm socket as it will spin easier

good luck and hopefuly easy and no more stress
