Glue for metel letters

What would be the best glue to use on some metel 3d letters i want to stick them on the side of the boat on the fiberglass ?

I'd use the double-sided adhesive foam tape which is used for car badges, etc.

Well obviously stays on but with it being constantly wet with salt water ect I thought it would be different

I think salt water may be a harsher environment but I think the key choice before you decide is whether you might ever want to remove them afterwards. One reason I like vinyl lettering is that it can last many years but it's fairly easy to remove if scuffed or you want to change SSR/font/name.

I think white CT1 would be ok. It stays flexible and is very strong.

Whatever you finally use, make sure to coarsely abrade the backs.

The best stuff for this in my opinion is genuine 3M VHB tape. VERY sticky!!
