glue 4 wet wood & foam strip ?

i need to glue a foam seal on the inside of a locker lid. it's close to the water line and with the current rough weather the lid is wet.

what should i use to glue the foam strip on ?

Evostick supply a urathane type adhesive that foams/expands on curing, it requires moisture to cure, the resulting joint is salt water proof. I've used it when constructing a plywood back to my open wheelhouse and numerous other boat jobs including converting a locker into a fridge. The adhesive comes in a cartridge intendent for a mastic gun, if you replace the cap on the nozzle it will keep for at least 2 years.
