If anyone want to see the latest images of my new boat taken just today here is the link

I did return to the forum and promise an interesting thread in the new year and I think kept that promise :-)

I will be very busy now preparing for the trip to Cape Town - St Helena - Brazil - Grenada and so seeing as I could be said to have now turned into a real raggie I will not be around much on the forum.

If you do not mind the odd raggie post every few months, I will post an update now and then.

Safe and enjoyable sailing to you all.

Paul

Hope you have a great adventure Paul and I look forward to regular updates :)
Just hope you dont turn into a Dylan Winter style reporter :D

Have a great time, and do pop back to let us know how you get on.

Don't even ask, you know you're more than welcome to do so.
I've seen the latest pics, she's indeed stunning Paul.
Fair winds for the maiden voyage! And of course also for all the fantastic cruises which will follow.

PS - just a crazy thought: Did Duncan ever think of getting rid of the mast and all the flappy related things, and offer her as a MoBo? I bet there would be some market for such vessel. Maybe with a fully enclosed cockpit and a second helm station on top, flybridge style (which is obviously not feasible with sails).

If you have some time available when you approach the Caribbean, how about letting Barbados be your first landfall? Lots to see and do here!
You can always toddle off to Grenada afterwards - its an easy overnight passage downhill. Whereas the other way is always a right old slog to windward.

We will have a think about that change of destination depending on how much time we have.
We have some commitments in Grenada in April but we still may have time to come from Barbados.

There is no chance of offering the boat as a power boat although the last one did manage 23 knots under sail to Cape town as a top speed and cruised at 15 to 17 knots. Mine will be slower because it carries more weight.

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes.
