The time has come to put the boat up for sale, finding it harder and harder to get our daughter on and of the boat, last year we went out 3 times only, so time to sell the Carter and look for a motorboat with large bathing platform and easy access, will be really sad to see the Carter go, we have got her to the stage where she sails beautifully. I will really miss that boat, she has looked after us well for 4 years, but she is ageing far better than me, so if any one is looking for a 33ft sailing boat with thousands of euros of upgrades, pm me, not sure how I will fare with a motorboat, but needs must.:(

I would say buy a boat you want, not based on who you think might visit.

Good luck.

Thanks Carmel, the big bathing platform is a must, as our daughter is severally mentally and physically handicapped, she loves boats, trouble is, she is getting bigger and I am getting older, not as easy as it once was, so motorboat and platform is a must have, probably the last boat I will buy, will see what comes up.

There are always options...

Might you not be able to find a small cat or motor sailor to meet your needs.

I love the Carter 33 - I looked at one in one the same day I looked at "Bedouin" - must be very hard to move on from

Hi Bedouin, have looked at loads of different boats trying to work out ways around the problem, the easiest is motorboat with large bathing platform, I will be really sad the day the Carter goes, but I will have some cracking memories of the 4 years we had her.
