Latin Primer for Girlies

Add Hock =proper spelling "ad hoc" = literally "for this". This phrase is applied to (for example) an item or occasion which is not part of a grand design or strategy but simply arises from time to time. An ad hoc meeting would be an occasional or one-off meeting, not an annual event nor a grand or long-awaited occassion.

hope this helps

Isn't that the only way to make it drinkable?

Looks like poor Tome has swallowed his dictionary. Very indigestible. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

.. Sera, Sera

When I was just a little girl,
I asked my mother, "What will I be?
Will I like hock? Meet up with others?"
Here's what she said to me:

Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera,
What will be, will be.

When I was just a child in school,
I asked my teacher, "What shall I try?
Should I write posts?
Should I sail boats?"
This was her wise reply:

Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera,
What will be, will be.

When I got drunk and fell out the bunk,
I asked the sjkipper, "What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows day after day?"
Here's what my skipper said:

Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see,
Cos I've lost the charts,
What will be, will be.

Now I have a crew of my own,
They ask their mother, "When will it be?
Will we ever have a meet?"
I tell them crosselly:

Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera,
What will be, will be.

Girls Anchor Song: Unchained Melody

Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh, wait for me, wait for me
I'll be coming home, wait for me

Re: Boys Anchor Song: Unbreak my back

Don't leave me in all this pain
Don't leave me out in the rain
Come back and bring back my smile
Come and take these tears away
I need your arms to pull my chain
The weights are so unkind
Take away those strains
Got when I pulled you up again

Chorus
Unbreak my back
Say you'll pull me up again
Undo this hurt you caused
When you dropped off the bow
And splashed intae ra watter
Uncry these tears
I cried so many nights
Unbreak my back, my back

Men\'s Anchor Song: Chain Gang

That's the sound of the men
They are working on the chain gang
That's the sound of the men
They are working on the chain gang
That's the sound of the men
They are working on the chain gang

All day long they work so hard
till the sun's comin' down
workin on the anchors and chains
and wearin a frown

I hear them moanin' their lives away
and then you hear somebody say

[Chorus]

Hear someone sayin'
whoa I work, work so hard
See my woman, who I love so fair,
sitting in the cockpit drying her hair.

[Chorus]

My, my, my, my, I work so hard
Give me water, I'm thirsty
Whoa I, I work so hard

You hear wimmin moanin' their lives away,
and then you hear somebody say

[Chorus 2x]
