Hoping to buy some sailing boots to keep my feet warm and dry on longer coastal passages sailed single handed. Rubber boots are out because after a couple of hours my socks end up damp with perspiration then cold.
I would value opinions on the Gill boots or others that readers have used. Many thanks

i have a pair of Dubarry leather boots, been using them for 3 years, very comfortable as they draw moisture away from your feet. I wear them as every day boots as well. came in handy around the island this weekend.

I bought a pair of Gill leather boots last March and have found them very good, they keep my feet dry and comfortable all day. A big improvement from the Gill rubber boots. Good price as well.

I've got a pair of Quayside boots - leather and canvas over Goretex - that have kept my feet dry and warm for a three or four years. Soles are getting a bit worn I think but otherwise they're great. Feet don't get sweaty either. I actually chose these as they were the only pair I found that could take off by pushing the boot off with the other foot without them being too loose for normal wear. Good wide fitting too. As a bonus I think they were well under a hundred quid.
