Hello again,

Firstly, I would like to say thanks to all for the input Ive had so far. Its been an adventure already and I haven't left the house yet! :D

After lots of feedback around attending a competent crew course before day skipper, Im looking at booking with one of a couple of companies in Gibraltar. This would mean flying out around the beginning of December.
Could anyone offer a recommended kit-list for expected weather in Gib in December please?

Im looking for the obvious such as wet weather requirements, foot wear and any generally recommended approach to layers as well as the less obvious such as extra towel and earplugs as I have seem mentioned somewhere recently.
Im not looking to go out looking like a walking advert for a brand name nor am I looking to spend a small fortune, but I am looking for something which will be appropriate for December.
The above may seem a daft question to some, but most of my maritime jaunts have involved ribs and Ive been wearing a divers dry suit, so short of a hat and some shades, this was sufficient for April to October UK dives.

Any links to sites etc for examples would be welcome.

I have sailed on the Spanish South Coast Nov through Feb.

On a nice day just light trousers, shirt and a sweater, no oilies.

Blowing a bit with a sea running just light waterproofs for splash protection.

Small sailboats, a Hawk 20 and a local 24 footer with a cabin but no sprayhood.

Check the average temps and rainfall in Gib for the time of your course.

That should help you choose correctly.

We did ours in Gib in January, a couple of sunny days but breezy and others cloud and wet ish we spent most time in over trousers with jacket or fleece, glad we took them, did not take boots though, probably should have done
