John, I asked last year when I bought a Gib'sea 28 and was advised that there is not. This is a pity as there are a lot of Gib'seas in Britain. If anyone knows different I would also be interested. Robin
I am in the process of 'trying' to buy a Gib'Sea 28. The survey has snagged the fact that the cast keel box is cracked where it bonds to the belly of the hull. Also the swinging plate bearings/pin are worn very badly and the plate is flopping about badly and it may have been this that moved the cast keel. As you have a 28 can you possibly suggest whether this is a common problem or perhaps that I should run in the opposite direction fast. Many thanks.
