Heard Kersauson's account of the incident: he said the tentacles were as
thick as his forearm. Apparently some damage to rudder gear, taking on a little
water. Not dubious, but I'd like to see a photo...

I always said man should not venture to far out to sea. Once you sail over the horizon you are in the realm of Neptune, and he'll set his sea monsters on you. No where did I leave my eye patch and wooden leg? Aaaahhhrrr
