Getting casual work..

.. on a cruise in Brittany and down the West Coast and through the canals.

If you wanted to earn a bit of extra money, improve your French and have a bit of extra fun by "joining in" rather than "looking in" as a pure tourist then:

How do you get casual work?
What type of work might you get?
What sort of pay might you get?
Has anyone done this? What was your experience?

depends when your going but if back end then doing the grapes is excellent....if you've the strength......and stamina...
