Getting Breezy

I've not seen this before. The web cam ( http://www.fba.org.uk/webcam01.html ) is wobbling. The building it's attached to is wooden.
There are breaking waves on the lake.

46 MPH gusts at Sandside. We've had horrific hail stones as well. I'm going to leave washing the car 'til tommorrow.

extra breezy in cardiff bay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was out midday in cardiff bay for lunch the only boat out there managed a 20 min sail down wind across the bay with 2 reefs in the wayfarer
had to motor back wind was howling after lunch the wife told me if she goes in shes never coming on a boat with me again
How longs it supposed to last Ive got a charter booked for the w/end in the solent
Anyone know ?

In the good ol' days the ferry seldom stopped - 30+ odd years ago used to go across regularly on a wild winters night with waves coming up the front ramp, washing along the deck and pouring out at the back. The ferry driver, (an ex. wall of death exponent & early hanglider pioneer) would be like Capn Ahab, shouting at the wind & ramming the throttles forward ...
