German 8-KR sailboats 1960\'s

Hello, I am looking for someone with knowledge of the above. I am researching the class and interested in the single mast versions of these cruiser / racers.
The web has a few pictures and one article. I am after pictures of deck layout / cabin and aft areas and general arrangements.
I am in the process of building a working model and would welcome a response.
I am happy to email pictures of my J class yacht Endeavour at just over a metre loa sailing to show I take my hobby seriously, I have had Classic Boat Magazine from the early days, and only occasionally get a chance to get on the water
regards to all Roy

Re: German 8-KR sailboats 1960\'s

Hi Roy,
the best you can do is to contact the guys in charge of the german Classic Yacht Club. That's a virtual affair and the web-address is:
http://www.fky.org/english.htm

They have a Yacht register with all types of boats listed - ranging from little skiffs up to 12mR.
http://www.fky.org/yachtregister.htm

The best idea would be to either contact Ingo (ingo.list@web.de), Wilfried (whorns@t-online.de) or post your request at their forum:
http://www.fky.org/forum-neu/

Don't be afraid to post in english as most people there are able to converse in english.

Re: German 8-KR sailboats 1960\'s

Hi,

at www.fky.org you find our register of existing 8KRs. At
http://www.fky.org/prestodata/execsearch...mp;language=eng

You find the complete register of ALL 8KR-Yachts. At www.yachting-history.org we have aditionally scanned all issues of the German Yacht-magazine from 1904 to 1959 (about 60,000 pages) that can be searched in fulltext.

At http://www.fky.org/prestodata/execsearch...mp;language=eng
you find all 14 pages where 8KR is part of the article's title.
