George Holmes?

Does anyone know anything about George Holmes? We have inherited a series of etchings by him. We know he was a boat designer and a founder member of the Humber Yawl Club, but little else. Can you help?

What do you want to know? George Holmes designed some nice little boats (such as Eel) and was a mate of Albert Strange. Both were founder members of the Humber Yawl Club and the pair produced some lovely 'amateur' yacht designs and also some decent paintings. John Leather's book on Albert Strange would be worth a look.
