You don't think the irregular spacing of the arms is a design feature? The various lengths of the arms too is either a feature or a lack of a tape measure. Hard to tell.Whoever made it does not own a protractor nor possess knowledge of trigonometry.
Comes free! Its only rusted half through, plenty of life left in that chainHow much extra is it for the chain?
@Neeves ?Well, that's worthy of some informed discussion.
Who shall start......
Thats really tempting just in case it was as good as something fancy in certain circumstances, maybe soft silt. If he was in the UK maybe. They could call it "The Thames Trēspade" when its mass produced, the three Ts logo would become synonymous with dependable mud mooring. Issues around storage and accidentally drying out on it might precluded wide acceptance thoughBuy this prototype and send to SV Panope immediately for testing, we might have a winner here. The stainless version out soon I expect.
....not to mention the cockpit lockerFitting on a bow roller might be tricky!
Put some hinges where the spades join the main shaft. Then it will fold for storage.Fitting on a bow roller might be tricky!
More like some student doing some poncy design degree thesis on something about which he has absolutely no idea & never will. But it will be hailed as a savior of sea grass. The Govt will then introduce legislation, that at least one should be carried by all craft over 3 M long --in the interests of conservation & sea horses. Probably another student will be asked to run a survey & come up with a formula to determine required weight of anchor per number of berths on the yacht .@Neeves ?
To me it looks like something a child would design when asked to draw an anchor that will dig into the mud. Whats so unique and interesting to me is its uncommon for the person to get to the welding it up stage in life while still being at the childs design stage.
