Hi, which marina in Genoa would you recommend ? We need to collect friends arriving at the airport next week,
but would also like to explore the city centre so marina di aeroporti may not be the best option.
Thanks

Hi,
We used both the Porto Antico and Fiera di Genova marinas last year. If you want a full service, full price marina right in the middle of the tourist precinct, Porto Antico is the place. For us, picking up friends off the train fro Rome, Fiera di Genova was less than half the price, in a much nicer neighbourhood close to normal shops, supermarkets etc. Only about 1 km from the centre, it is still an easy walk to all the shops, market and tourist sites. Outside of October when it is the site of the boat show there was plenty of room.

Porto Antico gets my vote as well. Worth a long stopover.

Interestingly went up to the fortified village of Mesta on Chios, on Sunday, another genoese foundation.
