Genoa luff tape length?

I've inherited, presumably made for our boat, an Owen Genoa.
It looks like a quality sail but I noticed that when I put it on the furling foil the luff tape extended down below the luff Grove entry point by about 15cm. Is this an issue?
The sail is hoisted to the top of the foil so no more room to get it higher. There is also no way to get the spare luff tape into the groove below the groove entry point.
Hope that all makes some sense?

As long as you can tension the luff I expect it will be OK - and Wilkinsonsails have the tip above! My sail has some spare slot at the top, so it can go a bit higher and then slide down into the bit of foil below the entry point.

I have the same thing. Compounded by a new furler for which the old sail is too long to get good halyard tension. Someone told me you can sometimes feed it down but I couldn't manage it. It wasn't fed in on the previous furler either and doesn't cause a problem other than looking a bit odd. Interesting to hear others comments.

Sorry, meant to attach picture.
Spot on, looks identical to mine. Can't even see a way to thread the spare below as the sail entry point only allows the luff tape to go up, there is no way even if I could raise it higher to get rid of the excess.
Glad to know its of no issue then, thanks for all the tips
