Just bought yacht with Mastervolt "Wisper 6000" genny. It ran for a few minutes during survey. Ran for a few minutes after purchase, then stopped. Unit is 4 years old with 20 hours (twenty). There is voltage (12.8v) to the control unit. Pressing "glow" used to produce the usual whistle prior to start. Now it does not. Starter does not turn. I did have dud auxilliaries (7v), but the genny has own starter.
The unit ceased to run after I had it running, the battery charger "on", auxilliaries "on" and the turned the auxilliaries "off". Since then, its dead as described.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks in advance.

Most high qual gensets like that will have auto shut down for low oil, water, volts, overheat exhaust, overspeed running, etc etc. A small one like yours (6kw) may not have all these, but will still have some. Need to check all those things and reset any trips
