We have a 9.7KW G&M generator which appears to run as normal, but produces no voltage. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check?

May need re-exciting, but look for the simple stuff first, as HLB suggests. Broken wire, things like that.

You ned to run the Generator up and mearsure output voltage at the local out put isolator or changeover contactor.
If no volt then it could be the AVR,s Capacitors any thing more a speclialist job.
If voltage at change over contactor/isolator, dis connect boat from shore power and manualy push in the contactor and hold voltage should be present on the 240v system within the boat, this will indicate its the contro,l possible coil on the contactor or voltage sensing relay.
